Acetyl-L-Carnitine (ALC) is a more bioavailable form of L-Carnitine and is involved in many metabolic functions. Acetyl-L-Carnitine is involved in other aspects of neuronal metabolism because its molecular structure resembles the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.
